This was in a twin-shock airhead toolkit I just picked up, and I have no ideas what it does:
It's around 38mm overall length, M6 thread and has a 10mm head on it.

Looks like one of the retainers for the back of a gauge to me, the kind that hold aftermarket oil temp gauges and such.

As I don't have an oil cooler equipped motorcycle this is of no use to me. Anybody wants it for free drop me a pm.

Holds the Left Handed Spindley Sprocket in place. Must be replaced imeaditly as there is no telling what might happen if your Left Handed Spindley Sprocket falls off.

All UK spec. bikes had the Left Hand Spindley Sprocket welded onto the shaft...

If the threaded part is 23mm long it is the thermostat opener tool.
I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.
