How much BHP can a 1200....

...can a 1200gs take at the crank without something nasty happening d'ya think?

Not to mention ground clearance....

Seems like the clutch, driveline, final drive, etc. would be at considerable risk with all those ponies...

Wouldn't it be easier, and probably a lot more reliable, to just buy a crotch-rocket? If one wants a crotch rocket, buy one. If one wants an R1200GS, buy one of those. That turbo seems pretty damn silly. But I suppose if one has lots of $ to throw around, what the hell...

GS seems like kinda a weird choice for a drag bike, and that's the only use that wouldn't be hampered by that greatly reduced ground-clearance.
