Luggage Racks

Post by KauaiSlash5 »

Thinking about picking up a luggage rack for my '72 SWB /5 and was wondering if racks made for newer models will mount up?

I'm specifically interested in this style. This one is specified as fitting an R80/7:

I normally run a Corbin Gunfighter seat, then swap the stock seat on from time to time when the girlfriend is visiting. Having the backrest would be a nice bonus, but my main goal is to have a spot for her to strap a bag to. Heck, having a spot to strap a 6pack down to wouldn't be all that bad either!

Howzit KauaiSlash5, I have a couple racks like that, with or without the wood inserts and a removable backrest. I also have a SWB R75/5 to make sure it will fit. You can email me at forever-endeavor (at) hotmail.com and I will send you some pics. Thanks, Timo

SWB & LWB may well define the difference –
As specific mountings will depend upon that @1.5" different dimension.
