/2 reverse conversion. Driveshaft fun

Hey guys. Here's one for you whizz kids. I'm doing a reverse conversion project:
- /5 frame
- /5 SWB swingarm (I think here lies the problem):ear
- /6 final drive
- R50 engine
- /2 gearbox
There is a lot of information on this site about people putting /5 engines in /2 frames but hardly any info on these reverse conversions.
My question is simple: what is the simplest way to get the driveshaft to work with the earlier transmission. Firstly I think I might have "length" issues i.e.: it seems the driveshaft is a little long. Second, can I use a /5 output flange on the earlier gearbox (I believe both use a 1:6 taper) Am I better off using a LWB swingarm and perhaps the /2 driveshaft? Would the /2 shaft work with a /5 final drive?
So many questions too little gasoline.
Thanks guys
