Giving these products a try.

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Giving these products a try.

Post by Zombie Master »

I just ordered shorts, long sleeve top, and helmet liner. They are designed for motorcycle use, and in hot weather can be loaded with water to keep you cool. A friend swears by this stuff and says when you wet these, the water is not held against your skin, they actually feel dry and will cool you. I have a synthetic top that works like this but gets smelly very quickly. These don't.

Let us know how they work out for you. I like the seamless design of the pants. I've worn bicycle pants under my riding pants, and they work really well for avoiding monkey butt, but they do usually have seams that can make pressure points, so they are (not surprisingly) more perfect for bicycle seats than for motorcycle seats..

Thanks for the link. I am going to order a couple of pairs, I've been looking for alternatives to dirt bike shorts for the street bike. I've ridden on the street with dirt bike shorts (which are basically mesh bicycle shorts), but they seem (no pun intended) to put the seams in the wrong spot for long rides. These guys appear to have the right idea.
