I just found this ... it would be a nice touch for my slowly evolving /7.
4 inch diameter and only 1 inch thick. GPS accuracy, no need for a pick-up. The inset tacho is icing on the cake.

Personally, I like bigger numbers, so I'd prefer one that used the whole 270 degree sweep for the 120 mph, but it's certainly slick looking.

Here we go:
Very cool site. It's great the way you can customize your instrument face. I'm fond of the "Swiss" font. They had one hell of a great web designer. The ability to see exactly what your customized instrument is going to look like must really add a lot of sales.
Seeing is buying.

Very nice instrument, Mal - I want one.
Consider the 3 and 3/8 inch version - it'll fit into a slash five headlight bucket (85mm hole) if you happen to find one.
The Legacy series doesn't appear to do metrics, but this one does -

Really? I figured the /5 instruments were bigger than that. 85mm is the stock size for my /7 speedo and tach.

Hmm, you've got me doubting now. My chinese copy has an 85mm hole. Timo will know.

Will it keep working when you go through a long tunnel or a underground carpark?

Good question, and I was about to say that I like the Vapor better for that reason alone, not to mention it's other features, like ambient temp. and clock.
But it's styling doesn't really go with a Type 247.
Now a twin-shock R65? That's a whole nuther ball game! I think the Vapor fits right in there, styling-wise, not to mention only costing a little over $100.

Rare-earth magnet on the brake rotor kind of thing.
