Hi all, I am in the process (finally) of assembling my R75. Should all the pieces of the rocker arm shaft just slide on or are they press fit. When I took them apart I had to press the pieces off.
Thanks for your help
Ron

BTW Ken, I'd like to make it to the spring rally, but don't know if the timing will work

Are you using the brass bushings or needle bearings? Bushings should slide, but the bearings are pressed in.

I'm using the brass bushings which went on ok, it's the thrust bushing and shaft support thatr I'm having trouble with

Anton says they are a press fit, assuming yours are the ones without a slot and a warpy washer for end play: http://largiader.com/tech/rockers/

Judging from his description; if you have brass bushings in the rockers you already have the next generation of those, so I'd say go for it. They sound easier to adjust the end play than the later split block type.

sounds like the flat washers are the way to go. Guess I should be able to get them through my not so local BMW shop.
