What bikes will they be racing against? Just think, if they were all also electric you wouldn't need your ear plugs. Unless the audience is really noisy.
Beer: liquid valium. I get it.
As far as I know, these guys are the competition for Brammo:

but Brammo is an Oregon company. Are their bikes made here? If they were, I would expect them to brag about it.
I think both are in the 16,000 dollar range. Sigh.

OH! They sell the Valium at the concession stands! How clever.
Too bad it makes you piss and most likely tastes like piss, too. (I've tried beer)

But for me it would need fenders.
I've sometimes thought of my R65 frame as a starting point for an electric bike, but it is so heavy, I think I would be wasting a lot of electrons just moving it down the road.
Re: Team Brammo Coming to GP! (Indy!)
A guy rode past my work the other day on one of those electric bikes. I think it was the same brand as the one pictured in the opening post. Surprisingly, it was actually not that quiet. As in, more mechanical noise than I'd expect. It wasn't a sophisticated sounding whir that I expected. Not at all like a loud motorcycle but not so quiet either. Most def louder than a quiet motorcycle such as a Gold Wing.
Speaking of that, just how does a Gold Wing rider stay alive on the road?

Call me Mel. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would ride about a little and see the other parts of the world.
