Well, I just picked up this R69US from a buddy. Can't get 'er started. Any ideas? :) Really, though, I'm going to start putting this thing together after I get home from this deployment next May...I will be looking for someone to go through the gearbox to verify the condition, as well as any machin...

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend this year. I had another commitment and was riding the fence on what event I'd be able to attend and my son wins this time. Hopefully I can make it in the spring!

Yep, I love my RS too. 1978 with CC Products built motor, lightened flywheel, wrist pins, balanced, dual plugged, etc. I didn't pay to have it all done but bought it that way with a stack of receipts. I need to give it a little TLC as it has been collecting dust a little too long while I've played ...

Stephen, I would venture to say that my '71 R50/5 would be identical to the R60s of the same year. Problem is, the bike is in another city at the moment. I put the Mobile Traditions cartridges on the front of my conversion. The original rears I had were fine so I just reused them when I built the bike. I can't compare them to Works or Hagon shocks since I've never tried them but the Mobile Traditions units are plenty good for me!
