Having just renovated my cs, it's similar. If it can be bumped up, I'd be happy with it. As long as it doesn't stay sagged down.Jeff in W.C. wrote: ↑Sat May 17, 2025 12:55 pm The bike a 1988 R100 RT.
The center stand is not retracting when the bike is taken off the center stand. Rather, it's hanging up at the 45-degree point.

Re: Monolever Rear Brake Pedal Height
Thanks Steve - it does give some insight, but the Mono has a drum rear brake. Should have said that, sorry. D'oh. I was aware of the differences. I took it for granted you'd know them too ;) "Might help, might not." The video had a couple of features that would likely apply to most models...

This video is on the earlier twin shock with a disc. Might help, might not?
Either way, it's a pita task.

Leaking carb.
I found a puddle of fuel under the left carb. Taps were turned off, bike on the centre stand. Clear bowls allowed vision of the float seating at an angle. Bowl off and the pivot pin has come loose. Float has slid to an angle. Replaced the pin which was worn on the serrated end. Compared 1.93mm to 2...

Re: Measuring fork slider wear .
That's some very specific info needed in a system that doesn't get a lot of love other than occasional part swapping...my guess.
Sorry, can't help. I did find a very good video from Brook Beams rebuilding a ST fork, but that didn't have your answers.

I'm the guy who sat on Santa's knee and asked for a welder. Santa said, "I've seen your welds. You're getting a grinder for Christmas!" Haha...made me laff! Be mindful that adding height to the stand might add to any difficulty in hoiking it up. Might be less of a problem on an unfa...

Re: RS/RT rear vision mirror glass replacement.
These mirrors are convex. Even if you could take it apart without destroying it and then put it back together so it looks perfect, you'll be hard pressed finding a piece of mirror glass with the same optics as the other side. My mirrors are already different. The right one shows a vehicle much clos...
