1.8 litre airhead?

Yeah, they have an aircooled pushrod motor that they gave to a custom builder last year. There was some speculation that there was some sort of retro heavyweight bike in the works. Here's the custom:

Looking at the original article from Motorrad oinline, it would appear that this is, at best, a speculative account and that the picture is photoshop. That being said, I read the article in a 'Google Translate' translation so it wasn't all that clear... but phrases like ' Our draftsman Stefan Kraft picked up the pen and drew the new BMW Cruiser.' and 'This story is of course fictitious, but has a serious background.' are pretty conclusive in any language.

Interesting concept but will it happen?

Apparently the same engine, presented via another interpretation, but destined for a cruiser. Interesting marketing tactic.
