valve adjustment: torque question

thanks again for all of this info. I would have left these nuts alone if it wasn't for the significant play in the rockers when I checked. The side (L) that had the rocker play also had the valves out of spec--both were too tight. That got me reading all of the discussion about rocker end play.

Unfortunately, if you own an airhead for some time and do your own wrenching, these nuts are things you're going to have to tackle eventually. They're nothing to be afraid of if you follow the rules.
