Well as it turned out it was warm yesterday but as it turned out we has gale force winds so I canned the idea of a ride, still I can't complain its forecast for 18deg C today and rain this afternoon bummer, however Monday is a public holiday (King's Birthday) and weather looking like 17dg and light winds so fingers crossed.Rob Frankham wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2024 5:09 amMy humblest apologies... don't know why but I had as being in OZ... Should have looked harder at the uisername I suppose... or nindee the sugnature. Not that it makes a great deal of difference as far as this thread goes.jackonz wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2024 2:51 amWell the Kiwi $ is in the gutter at the moment with this new Government so it looks for the moment I will park that idea, still can't complain forecast for 18 deg on Friday and it's winter good day for a ride to wherever.jackonz wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 6:17 pmNone really Rob that's why I asked the question is it worth the upgrade if you can call it that, you read things and people say oh it's a massive change and so on but as you say it depends on normal use or hard riding.Rob Frankham wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 6:24 am What issues do you have with the old fork brace? In general use, these do a pretty good job provided that they aren't worn. IMO aftermarket yokes (triple trees) and braces are just expensive eye candy unless you are doing serious racing or track work.

18 degrees in the winter... blimey it's early summer here and we're only get 13 degrees today... and I see that as comfortable warm.

I know how cold it can get in the UK as I come from Merseyside, I have lived here now for 40 years and before that 2 years in Australia and it gets far too hot in Aussie for me, you do get used to the heat and as a result 18deg can seem a little chilly, am very lucky Rob it's great Motorcycle riding place here in Nelson at the top of the south island.
I still have a Daughter and her family in Liverpool and hopefully she will be here permanently by the end of this year.
