Actually not such a tough job if you follow this procedure. Support the rear of the engine with a jack. Remove the rear motor mount stud. Tap out the aluminum spacer tube (if you have a /5 you'll be scratching your head here). You now have enough clearance to get to the switch. Be careful not to deform or crack the switch on removal and installation, it's made of soft aluminum. Chill the spacer before you tap it back in.
