Sometimes I forget to turn it on, but I wear a white helmet to compensate.

Tim, your road is very 'driveable' with HD Google Earth Street View. I've yet to come across your tree cave part of the road.
It's very interesting to peek at a few homes here and there along too at an occasional picnic/campsite seaside. I'd love to ride that road some day. :)

That street view is very cool! Here is the tree tunnel link, a bit closer to Kalapana than I thought:

He can go faster with the switch in that position.
And the bike doesn't keep trying to turn right.

Tim
Thanks for the ride on the big island...my favorite neighbor island. I spent some great times in Ahualoa valley on the Hamakua coast.
I wish I could ride there. Ever get up to the Kiluea Lodge in Volcano?
Thanks again, it sure took me away from Fresno for a time.

Thanks Uncle Mark, I've been to the Kilauea Lodge a few times, usually for dinner after a day of volcano watching. I haven't been in awhile though, since they started charging to enter the National Park.

Next time you go to the lodge say hello to the owners Lorna and Albert, part of my extended family.
And again, thanks for the ride.
