I got me a nice matching 507 painted front fender from Germany for my RS so I now have a spare gloss black job that was a temporary replacement for my roo busted original.

Yep, the fender bracket is different between the ATE forks and the Brembos forks (bit wider width on the Brembo forks) however the fender mounts on either one i.e. the holes line up for mounting fender on either bracket.
So, think Charlie would be OK to bolt this fender to his ATE forks bracket.
I'm just wondering how Brunhilde will feel when she gets this shiny, shapely mudguard. Will it make the rest of her black bits look even shabbier? Her current front mudguard had the leading 300mm broken off when we hit a cow ten years ago. I made a plaster mould of the undamaged back part and used glass tape set in epoxy to join the broken bit back on. The left hand rear bracket had already been replaced with a dodgy bit of steel tube by a previous butcher. It's all patina to me.
So, should I accept this very generous offer from Jeff? O yes. I think this will be the year when I bite the bullet and paint the old dear. She deserves to look a bit more glamorous. She'll be 40 in a couple of years - often a stressful time for a lady.

Yes. A nip and a tuck here and there will do no harm. These bikes look better as they age. They are like people in that regard. You see some who are comfortable in their rumpledness and some who never have a hair out of place nor have their hands ever been dirty. Same with the bikes as far as I can tell.
Front fender was expressed posted to Charlies this arvo on the back of my RS.
It was obvious that Charlies fork brace has narrower hole centres latterally than the /7
Only option will be to see if there is enough /6 fork brace to drill some new holes..........

Well, I'm sorry it wasn't an easy fit. I have a R75/6 with a later set of front forks, so at a glance it looked like it would. I did not know there was a difference between the two fender braces. If you need one, I might have a spare. I think the "74 has a chromed one, but the later model was stainless steel?
