Your taking the transmission off of a 1978 R100S to inspect a failing clutch and find that the clutch pushrod and pressure plate have have chewed each other up, when you remove the pushrod, you find that it's been broke off at the bottom of the felt space and was welded back together - off center as well. ahhhhh and everything! who would do such a thing?? the thrust bearing(#4) was missing too. How did this clutch function for as long as it did rigged up like this

who knows the reason for a barn find could be the owner health or some ham fisted repair that one doesn't want to risk life with
I rebuilt a motor that had a repaired cam the ATU nut was broken off and a 6-32 screw washer and lock washer to hold ATU
the ATU is held in position with D grind then wave washer, nut in this the 6-32 the D was worn I pointed out this cam needed replacement the owner said he couldn't afford it
