Call me Mel. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would ride about a little and see the other parts of the world.

I can't imagine why those machines didn't catch on.

The first thing I wooda done with that yeller thing, is put a smaller sprocket on the back.
Get it goin' a bit faster sort of thing.

Well, keep in mind, that may be the entire gearing. I wouldn't be surprised if the drive pulley is on the crankshaft.

That might be a 6" pulley going by the lines as best can be seen, of the belt.
But that doesn't sound right.

While it does have what appears to be a 6" pulley at the business end, it's offset, so there is a bit of gear reduction going on: Image
