1" thick!
Man that's thin.

I'd mount that sucker on the inside of me visor as a HUD.

Hmm, you've got me doubting now. My chinese copy has an 85mm hole. Timo will know.
The stock /5 headlights hole looks to be 3 7/8" or or just a hair over 100mm.

100mm it is. Thanks Tim. I knew we could rely on you.

4 inch diameter and only 1 inch thick. GPS accuracy, no need for a pick-up. The inset tacho is icing on the cake.

Interesting...

What is the refresh time/sample rate on the GPS...?

Many GPS units have a refresh rate measured in seconds which means that your speed reading is going to be lagging.

Specs on the website indicate a "5 Htz update for fast needle response and accuracy". I assume that should be 'Hz'.

5 times a second ought to be fast enough, even if they don't know how to abbreviate Hertz. :D

Thanks fellas for clearing up some of my concerns.

Glorious weather here and I took the /7 for a run last Sunday, the first ride of Spring, explored some back roads, very enjoyable and the bike ran well.

Arrived back home, put the bike on the side-stand to open the gate, turned back to the bike and the right hand cylinder is blowing blue smoke. WTF!

My speedo dreams will have to wait til I find out what that's all about.

cheers
Mal
