That is very sexy styling. I'll be interested to see how it turns out, particularly power-wise.Zombie Master wrote:http://www.returnofthecaferacers.com/20 ... racer.html

"I'm sure the waiting list will be disturbingly long if Royal do indeed start building the Continental GT Cafe Racer in 2013."
That, I believe would be another key ingredient in it being a "real" motorcycle.

Looks so good. Another point in this bikes favor is the lack of valve adjustments!Major Softie wrote:"I'm sure the waiting list will be disturbingly long if Royal do indeed start building the Continental GT Cafe Racer in 2013."

Very very nice.
I don't think we should even mention performance. Its no matter.

Re: Opine por favor
Has anyone ever bought a Royal Enfield for performance? I know they haven't in the last 40 years, but I'm not really up on where they stood compared to Norton, BSA, Triumph, and even Velocette, back when Royal Enfields were still being built in England.Mal S7 wrote:Very very nice.

That is one VERY pretty bike though.

Re: Opine por favor
As far a performance goes, I have a RE dealer not 5 miles away and I took his demo out. He put a pipe on it and made some adjustments. These are fuel injected bikes with disc brake. Nonetheless I was expecting to be underwhelmed. The bike performed very well, it was not a slug. It sounded great and the brakes were decent. This was a much better bike than the ones that came over before. Will they hold up? I don't know that. But if you could be satisfied riding an R60/5 you would be satisfied with the performance. Now this sporty model with Ohlins shocks might actually be some fun.

Triumph Thruxton is the only other bike in the same class, styling-wise for me. The Enfield actually looks better. The author of the article says it should be lighter but I'd be surprised if it is lighter than the regular bike.
I do say Ian, I'm gobsmacked! That's a right proper motorbike!
