$8000 is a high start price

The paint doesn't look oem to some..too "thick" with the dark accents. The oem helmet sticker for the tank that appeared at this time is also missing.
It does look too unmarked especially around the buckle zone adjacent to the seat. Also, looking at the fuel cap and the handlebar controls, there seems to be what looks like age markings/corrosion/nqr appearance which may be inconsistent with claims.

This is a 30+ year bike and the colour scheme is one that fades. It's in very sunny and hot Queensland and would by most probabilities have at least some fading.

Better detailed closeup shots would help a prospective buyer.

It's not just more closeups that's missing; most of the fairing is never shown at all. On the paint originality question, the tank and fender are very rich bloodclot red, while the side panel and what little shows of the fairing look a much more orangey red. The lack of pictures giving a good view of the fairing just leads one to suspect it is intentional to not show that the color doesn't match the tank and fender.

No one in their right mind would pay that kind of money for a bike so poorly displayed to the buyer.

Check out the tank cap, choke lever, throttle housing, valve covers.........
And it lives on the coast too.

So very true. Unfortunately those of us who are not in their right mind are pretty easy to find on Boxerworks. It might be easier to determine those who are in their right mind.

Take me. (Don't say it. It's too easy anyhow.) Show me a Daytona Orange R90S or a Bloodclot S or RS or even RT and I get weak in the knees (and weaker in the brain). Lust (no better word available) has narrowed my view (and mind). It's like I know I should be looking at this bike critically, but somehow I just can't keep my focus on that important point.

Hell, I didn't even notice the reflection in the tank until it was pointed out.

The good news with all of this longing is that I have some nice airheads already, and so my thoughtless longing is more easily checked. (He said bravely.)
