Charlie nailed it. I have made them from whatever scrap or bolt laying around with a file and hacksaw.
Nobody seems to be able to actually make things any more. Why spend an hour of your life and 20+ dollars
going to the nearest dealer or two+ days waiting for one when you can just make one?

It has nothing to do with oil pressure to the engine. It just regulates differential pressure across the filter element.
High oil pressure would have nothing to do with the seals leaking.
